Mr. Gur Arieh has been a senior partner at the firm From 1992 to 2000.
After retiring from the firm in 2001, Mr. Gur Arieh was appointed as chief legal counsel for Matav Cable Systems Media Ltd., one of Israel's three major cable operators at that time.
In 2004, Mr. Gur Arieh was appointed as chief legal counsel for the HOT group, Israel's leading telecommunication group consisting of HOT Telecommunication systems Ltd. (the surviving entity following the merger of Israel's three major cable operators), Hot Telecom, LP (telephony and infrastructure provider) and several other corporations.
Mr. Gur Arieh has extensive knowledge of the telecommunication market and all relevant regulatory matters pertaining to the variety aspects of telecommunications and media activities. During the period he was a partner at the firm and chief legal counsel for Matav and HOT Mr. Gur Arieh took a leading role in many of the structural changes which this sector has undergone in recent years.
Mr. Gur-Arieh has vast experience in a wide range of areas of Commercial, Corporate and Securities Law, with an emphasis on complex transactions in the field of telecommunications, media and technology.
Mr. Gur Arieh has also vast experience in litigation related to telecommunication and media issues. In his capacity as legal counsel for HOT, in the last few years Mr. Gur Arieh was in-charge of a complex litigation case held in U.S courts between HOT and Warner Bros' (one of Hollywood's major studios) which ended in a great success for HOT.
